Sick Pay

Q        Are we obliged to pay our employees sick pay?

A        As long as your contract doesn't state otherwise, you do not have to pay employees full pay whilst they are off sick, but you must pay them statutory sick pay from the fourth day of absence, up to a maximum of 28 weeks.
