Staff Representatives

Q        We need to arrange elections for staff representatives for consultation purposes over a large scale redundancy programme.  Do they have to remain staff representatives after the redundancy consultation process has been concluded?

A        No, it is perfectly acceptable to elect staff representatives purely for the redundancy exercise, but ensure that the representatives' remit is clearly set out at the beginning of the election process.
